Super Bowl LXI will be played Sunday, February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, deciding the NFL champion for the 2026 season. It will be the first Super Bowl ever played on Valentine's Day, and the first to fall on Presidents' Day weekend.
It is also a broadcasting milestone: ESPN carries a Super Bowl for the first time, and ABC returns to the game for the first time since Super Bowl XL in 2006. The Seattle Seahawks enter the season as defending champions after beating the New England Patriots 29–13 in Super Bowl LX.

- 61st Super Bowl. LXI is Roman numerals for 61.
- 9th in Los Angeles. The LA area has hosted more Super Bowls than anywhere except South Florida (11) and New Orleans (10): two at the LA Memorial Coliseum, five at the Rose Bowl, and now two at SoFi.
- 60 years after Super Bowl I. The first Super Bowl was played at the LA Coliseum in January 1967; the Packers beat the Chiefs 35–10.
- Quick return. SoFi last hosted Super Bowl LVI in 2022, when the Rams beat the Bengals 23–20 on their home field. A five-year gap between hosts is rare.
- Back-to-back in California. Super Bowl LX was at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.
- The stadium. SoFi opened in 2020, cost about $5.5 billion, seats 70,240 and expands to about 100,240. It is home to the Rams and Chargers
- The logo. Unveiled February 8, 2026, it pairs the Roman numerals with wave imagery for Southern California surf culture.
- LA's big-event run. The game falls between the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Summer Olympics, both with events in the LA area.
- Halftime bar is high. Bad Bunny's Super Bowl LX show drew a reported 135 million viewers, the most-watched halftime ever.
The matchup will be set by the playoffs in January 2027: 14 teams qualify, seven per conference, and the AFC and NFC champions meet in Inglewood.
The Seahawks are the team to beat. They won Super Bowl LX 29–13 over the Patriots on February 8, 2026, their second title. Running back Kenneth Walker III was MVP with 135 rushing yards, the first running back to win it since 1998, and kicker Jason Myers set a Super Bowl record with five field goals
The Rams and Chargers both call SoFi home; the Rams won Super Bowl LVI there in 2022, one of only two teams to win the title in their home stadium.
